Those interested can take the online courses from all over the world, the head of the Quranic department of the society said.
Sheikh Abdul Aziz Buhindi added that anyone can learn the Quran in these courses using their smartphones.
He noted that the courses are on memorization and recitation of the Holy Book, Al-Jaridah reported.
He said great technological advances have provided a major opportunity for promoting Quran memorization and recitation, adding that the society seeks to use this opportunity to serve the Holy Book.
Buhindi went on to say that those taking the courses so far include 44 percent men and 56 percent women.
He further said the society also plans to hold 1,000 online Khatm Qurans (reading the Quran from beginning to end).
